Now, our mentors and coaches are an important part of our Team 701 family. Without their time and support, we would not have the skills, experience, and memories we would have for the rest of our lives.

Mr.Green:

Mr. Green is our head coach and has led Team 701 at Vanden High School since its introduction in 2000. He always finds ways to combine both robotics and physics in exciting ways. Through his teachings, students have learned aspects of science, engineering, and technology, as well as leadership and project management. These are skills that Mr. Green instills in our team for a lifetime.

Mr. Murphy:

Mr. Murphy has been our programming advisor since 2005. He works for EMC and his skill in programming helps us out alot. He is also currently our RPM treasurer and hosts our RPM meetings.

Mr. Smith:

Mr. Smith has been with us for eight years. His specialty is carbon fiber which helped us win the Driving Tommorow's Technology Award in 2007 @ UC Davis. Ever since then, we've had carbon fiber elements on all of our robots. You could call him our "carbon fiber coach".

Mr. Crusoe:

Mr. Crusoe has been with us for five years but has become one of our team's greatest resources. He is our personal Ace Hardware shopper, and an ace at booking flights and hotels for our competitions. He is currently RPM President.

Mentors:

Karan and Frank are both sophomores in college. Eric is a freshman in college and was the former Engineering Director. All three were formerly on the team. There is also Steven, whose little brother Devin is on the team. Both are programmers. Chris works in design. And there are many more!
